• Bentley is working on a second facelift for the Flying Spur.
  • Model features new front end that echoes the Continental GT.
  • Updated sedan is expected to debut late this year or in early 2028.

The latest Bentley Flying Spur will celebrate its seventh anniversary this summer and the model received a light refreshening for the 2025 model year. It appears another update is in the works as a prototype was recently spied undergoing testing on the Nürburgring.

Spied virtually undisguised, the Flying Spur Azure prototype features an updated front end with new headlights that are hidden behind stickers. Despite this, we can see the model will follow in the footsteps of the facelifted Continental GT and trade its four headlamps for two new ones with a prominent LED swoosh.

The changes don’t stop there as the sedan has been equipped with a new front bumper that features a split intake design. The grille also appears to be lightly revised and more upright.

Elsewhere, there’s an updated rear bumper and new taillight graphics. The latter are hidden by stickers, but could echo the design seen on the Continental.

We can only see a few glimpses of the interior, but it is interesting to note the passenger side dashboard appears to be hidden behind a colorful disguise. This makes us wonder if the Flying Spur will become the latest Volkswagen Group vehicle to offer a front passenger display.

Under the hood, we can expect a familiar plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, a 25.9 kWh battery pack, and a 188 hp (140 kW / 190 PS) electric motor. This setup gives the current car a combined output of 771 hp (575 kW / 782 PS) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. It enables the model to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.3 seconds, hit a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h), and travel 30 miles (48 km) on electricity alone under EPA standards.
