- AMG GLC 43 prototype spotted testing with minimal camouflage.
- Interior remains covered but likely gets new infotainment tech.
- Updated crossover could debut late this year or in early 2027.
Mercedes doesn’t seem too concerned about keeping its facelifted GLC and GLC Coupe a secret. Just a few months after we caught the standard gasoline-powered models testing, our spy photographers have now spotted an AMG prototype out in the open.
Captured during winter testing in northern Sweden, the lightly camouflage prototype looks instantly recognizable. However, a closer inspection reveals the model has been equipped with star-shaped LED daytime running lights.

Everything else appears to carryover, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the production model has a lightly revised bumper. The grille could also see subtle revisions, but that remains to be seen.
Despite some camouflage, the rear end appears untouched. However, we can expect star-infused taillights at the very least. We also wouldn’t be surprised to find an updated bumper.

Spy photographers managed to snap an interior photo, but it doesn’t reveal much as the steering wheel and dashboard are covered by black cloth. That being said, we can expect an updated infotainment system running the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System, which debuted on the CLA. There could also be trim and upholstery updates as well as a revamped steering wheel with physical switchgear.
Since the prototype has a circular four-tailpipe exhaust system, it’s simply the mild variant. This spot is currently held by the GLC 43, which has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 416 hp (310 kW / 422 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. It enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.7 seconds.
The high-performance GLC 63, on the other hand, should follow the facelifted C-Class and eschew its plug-in hybrid four-cylinder powertrain. It’s slated to be replaced by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, although officials have been coy on specifics.
