Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has expanded its AMG GT lineup with the local launch of the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 4Matic+ Coupe. This two-door performance machine now joins the GT63S E Performance four-door, but with a slightly more accessible price tag of RM1,882,888 (on-the-road, excluding insurance).

Despite being the “less extreme” sibling, the GT63 Coupe is anything but slow. It features a handcrafted 4.0L twin-turbo V8, pushing out 585 PS and 800 Nm of torque. Paired with a 9-speed AMG Speedshift MCT transmission and 4Matic+ all-wheel drive, it launches from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and maxes out at 315 km/h.

New Platform, Familiar Performance

Unlike the first-gen AMG GT which used a transaxle setup, the latest C192 generation adopts a front-engine layout based on the MSA platform shared with the SL. The switch brings more practicality—there’s now 2+2 seating and enough boot space for weekend luggage or even golf bags.

Aggressive Styling with Purpose

From certain angles, the GT63 Coupe evokes shades of classic German sports coupes—but it’s very much its own beast. Key design features include:

  • Digital Light headlamps

  • Active rear spoiler

  • Flush-fit door handles (unavailable on the four-door)

  • AMG Night and Carbon packages

  • 21-inch forged cross-spoke wheels

Aero trickery is handled by Airpanel, a two-stage active cooling system with hidden slats that open only when necessary. Beneath the car, a carbon element drops automatically at speed to improve high-speed grip and reduce lift.

Serious Hardware Underneath

For dynamic handling, the GT63 is equipped with:

  • Rear-axle steering

  • AMG Active Ride Control with active anti-roll

  • Rear locking differential

It’s built to feel sharp, agile, and stable whether you’re cruising highways or hitting the track.

Cockpit with a Digital Edge

The cabin blends AMG aggression with modern tech. Highlights include:

  • 11.9-inch central touchscreen

  • AMG Performance seats

  • Flat-bottom AMG steering wheel

  • Customisable digital instrument cluster with performance readouts

Track enthusiasts will appreciate AMG Track Pace, which monitors and records more than 80 vehicle metrics in real time, with live telemetry during driving sessions.

Versatility Included

Six drive modes—Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Race and Individual—let drivers tailor the car to mood or condition. A four-year, unlimited mileage warranty comes as standard.

If you’re after more power and open-top thrills, Mercedes also launched the AMG SL63S E Performance, priced at RM2.2 million, with over 800 PS from its plug-in hybrid setup.
