• The redesigned Volkswagen T-Roc has apparently been leaked by an Italian YouTube channel.
  • The model sports an evolutionary, but more upscale design and a minimalist cabin.
  • The crossover is expected to ride on the MQB Evo platform and share powertrains with the Golf.

The second-generation Volkswagen T-Roc continues leaking like a sieve and this time real-life images have found their way to social media. They show a stylish new crossover with an evolutionary design, which appears significantly more upscale.

Starting up front, we can see a Golf-inspired face with slender headlights that are connected by a thin illuminated strip. Further below, there’s a distinctive intake with thick honeycomb mesh accents and boomerang-shaped flourishes.

Moving further back, the model has streamlined bodywork and restrained cladding. The latter is still present around the wheel arches, but it no longer dominates – at least on this variant.

Elsewhere, we can see a contrasting black roof and matching A-pillars. They’re joined by aerodynamically optimized wheels and a more stylish C-pillar. Rounding out the highlights are silver roof rails and a metallic accent that flows down the rear pillar.

The rear end is nearly vertical and has a slender light bar that recalls newer models such as the Tiguan and Taos. They’re joined by a streamlined bumper that lacks exhaust cut outs.

While we only get a few glimpses of the interior, it’s far more modern and minimalist. Drivers sit behind an upgraded steering wheel and find themselves looking at a freestanding digital instrument cluster. To their right is a significantly larger infotainment system, which echoes the one found on the ID.Buzz and ID.7.

The T-Roc is expected to debut at the Munich Motor Show and ride on the MQB Evo platform. This means the model will be closely related to the latest Golf and they’ll likely share an assortment of powertrains. However, we can expect to learn full details next month.
