July 4–6, 2025 — George Town, Penang:
Penang’s car scene came alive over the weekend as the Auto-City Carnival 2025 took over Auto-City Juru, drawing more than 15,000 attendees from across Malaysia. Celebrated as one of the region’s biggest automotive lifestyle events, the three-day carnival offered an action-packed lineup that thrilled gearheads, families, and casual enthusiasts alike.
The event featured a dynamic modified car showcase, live drift performances, an adrenaline-pumping spitfire exhaust display, and a charming antique car parade — blending nostalgia with next-gen car culture. A sprawling exhibition area allowed visitors to get up close with the latest offerings from Perodua, Proton, and other participating brands, making the event a key platform for automotive launches, community networking, and lifestyle engagement.
“This event isn’t just about cars — it’s about passion, creativity, and the growing sense of community among Malaysian car enthusiasts,” said one local exhibitor, whose team unveiled a fully electric restomod project that drew major attention from media and attendees.
In addition to vehicles, the carnival included live music performances, food trucks, and merchandise vendors, creating a festive, family-friendly environment that appealed to both hardcore car tuners and casual visitors.
With each passing year, Auto-City Carnival continues to cement its status as a must-attend event in Malaysia’s automotive calendar — showcasing not only horsepower and precision, but also the evolving identity of car culture in the region.
