- Hyundai is working on a facelifted Grandeur.
- It appears to feature an evolutionary design.
- Interior is all-new and features Pleos system.
Hyundai dropped the Azera in the United States in 2017, but the model has continued to survive overseas as the Grandeur. The seventh-generation sedan was introduced in 2022 and that means it’s time for a facelift.
A prototype was recently spied undergoing cold weather testing and it appears to have an evolutionary design. While black camouflage hides most of the details, it looks like the model will adopt a thicker version of the company’s “seamless horizon lamp.”

Further below, we can see rectangular headlights that replace the previous vertical units. The extra room beneath them appears to be filled by new air curtains.
The rest of the car appears to largely carryover, but we wouldn’t be surprised to find updated wheels and a revised rear end. The latter is covered by snow and cladding, but could be hiding an updated bumper and revamped taillights.
Exterior changes will be relatively minor, but the same can’t be said about the cabin. While the current model has 12.3‒inch displays and a lower 10.25-inch climate control system, the facelifted luxury sedan will adopt a freestanding digital instrument cluster and an all-new Pleos infotainment system. The latter was previewed roughly one year ago and is based on Android Automotive OS.
The screens will require big changes including a completely new dashboard. Its design remains to be seen, but hopefully Hyundai won’t forget to focus on luxury.
